This unit explores the journey of human history from prehistory to modern times. Students will learn how early humans survived without writing, how ancient civilizations like Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, and Rome developed writing, cities, laws, and architecture, and how beliefs and inventions shaped their lives. The unit also covers the Middle Ages, the Age of Exploration, and the Industrial Revolution, highlighting how people adapted, explored new lands, and created machines that changed the world. Through simplified texts, students will discover key events, achievements, and the lasting impact of each historical period.

מהות יחידת הלימוד
היחידה עוסקת במסע ההיסטורי של האנושות מהפרהיסטוריה ועד לעת החדשה. התלמידים ילמדו כיצד בני האדם הראשונים חיו ללא כתיבה, וכיצד ציוויליזציות עתיקות כמו מצרים, מסופוטמיה, יוון ורומא פיתחו כתיבה, ערים, חוקים ואדריכלות, ואיך האמונות וההמצאות עיצבו את חייהם. היחידה כוללת גם את ימי הביניים, עידן התגליות והמהפכה התעשייתית, ומדגישה כיצד אנשים הסתגלו, חקרו ארצות חדשות ויצרו מכונות ששינו את העולם. באמצעות טקסטים מותאמים לרמתם, התלמידים יגלו אירועים מרכזיים, הישגים והשפעות ארוכות טווח של כל תקופה היסטורית.
